Baked Potatoes

Ingredients
  • 2 medium potatoes, unpeeled
  • 2 teaspoons Shortening or Oil
Directions
  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Scrub potatoes with vegetable brush. Pierce with fork. Rub with shortening or oil.
  • 3. Place on center rack of oven and bake 60 to 80 minutes until potatoes fork tender. Cool slightly.
  • 4. Roll in hands to loosen inside of potato. Cut crisscross on top. Press ends and push up to fluff. Serve with desired toppings.

Tips

Toppings: butter, grated cheese, salt & pepper chives, sour cream, bacon crumbles

  • 3. Wrap each potato in foil. Bake 60 to 80 minutes until potatoes fork tender. Serve with desired toppings.
